Founder Jack Friedman's Original Cash Register circa 1938

Beginning with one store in Pittston, Pa over 65 years ago, Jack Friedman founded Friedman Electric to service the needs of electrical contractors. Working side by side with his wife Rose and son, Sid they worked to build a business known for going the extra mile to meet customer needs. Sid, who is still active in the business, moved the headquarters to Exeter, Pa in 1963 and expanded the company's operations throughout 5 locations in Northeast Pennsylvania. Rob, Sid's son is the current president, who organized telecom and automation departments for Friedman Electric and expanded the company further to Athens and State College. Today, Friedman Electric has 15 locations with 11 lighting showrooms across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier of New York; serving contractors, industries, commercial operations, builders and consumers.
